Investor Visas
Sri Lanka offers an Investor Visa program to encourage foreign nationals to invest in the country. The Investor Visa allows individuals to enter and reside in Sri Lanka while managing their investments. The primary aim of the visa is to promote foreign investment in various sectors, including information technology, and tourism, among others.
Special Requirements for certain Passport Holders
Holders of passports of Afghanistan, Syria, Ghana, Nepal, Nigeria, Pakistan, Cameroon, Ivory Coast, North Korea, Yemen, Uzbekistan, Colombia, Madagascar and Myanmar are required to apply visa through the Department of Immigration and Emigration of Sri Lanka in Colombo, through a representative/sponsor in Sri Lanka.
